You are invited to apply for the Acumen Fellows Program East Africa 2019. Application for this annual fellowship is open to everyone.
Acumen is a non-profit organization that invests in sustainable businesses and ideas worldwide. The organization also invests in better leadership through the annual Acumen Fellows Program.
The initiative is open to individuals in different parts of the world, including East Africa. If you are from, one of, South Sudan, Burundi, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda or Kenya, you are eligible to apply for the Acumen Fellows Program.
Men and women of all ages, any education level and from whichever cultural and socioeconomic background qualify to apply. This is as long as they promise to commit to this year-long fellowship program. Acumen will cover all costs associated with it such as Visas, transport and lodging.
It will be great for applicants to have some background in leadership. You may be an entrepreneur, intrapreneur, policy maker, community mobilizer or a social innovator.
Acumen Fellows Program East Africa 2019 will happen in Nairobi, Kampala, Kigali and Dar-es-Salaam. It will involve both virtual and in-person training. Part of this are 5 week-long seminars.
Not only will the program equip you with tools to further the real-world applicability of your ideas, you will also experience personal transformation. In the end, alumni get to be part of a network of regional and global social leaders.
The application will require your background information, CV and for you to answer some short and long questions. Deadline for application is 9th September, 2018. Successful applicants will be notified in December, 2018, after passing following stages.
