Accenture Africa’s Top 30 Tech Start-ups is on the search for start-ups, founded by Africans, solving problems in business, government and civil society.
Accenture is a management consulting and professional services firm. Its Accenture Africa’s Top 30 Tech Start-ups initiative is drawn from the global trend of tech ecosystems formation. These ecosystems offer cheaper and faster development times, plus innovative products and services. African founders are invited to be part of such.
The initiative is seeking African start-ups whose core business demonstrate innovation and the enterprises themselves show exponential growth. Products or services must be piloted, market validated and, at least, have customers. It is important that the products or services be “unconstratined by geography.” The start-ups can be pre or post profit.
- Start-up must be founded by an African
- Start-up must be a registered business
- Start-up must be less than 9 years old
Successful applicants will gain immensely from the Accenture Africa’s Top 30 Tech Start-ups initiative. Scratching the surface, the ventures will be recognized as a top 30 African startup. They will also attend the exclusive awards dinner in Johannesburg, in February 2019.
Additionally, there will be opportunity to be housed at the Accenture Liquid Studio, Johannesburg, which hosts multiple corporate workshops weekly. The start-ups will participate in Accenture-led corporate market access week in Johannesburg. There, they will learn pitch techniques, client co-creation sessions and speed dates. Start-ups will also be invited to workshops to co-create and pitch with Accenture project teams.
On top of all, successful applicants get to join the global Accenture Innovation Network. This will allow their tech products to be considered for opportunities across the globe.
