A panel discussion on running a family business

OERB and ECO invites you to be a part of an exciting discussion on the aspects and issues related to governance for family businesses. We have lined up a panel of industry and subject matter heavyweights including:

  • Keval Shah: Keval has had a stellar career within the Sumaria Group family business, and shortly after he was awarded “The Most Innovative CIO in East Africa” by CIO100. He is the current Co-CEO of CloudHop.
  • Tejal Dodhia: Tejal is the Managing Director of Thika Cloth Mills Ltd, board member at Occidental Insurance Company and recent recipient of the Oshwal business woman of the year award.
  • Uday Shah: Uday is a partner at RTS Global Partners and provides advice to boards and family members of family businesses on how to align their business and family values in line with their corporate vision.
  • Professor Bitange Ndemo: Prof. Bitange is former Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Information and Communication. He is currently an associate professor at the University of Nairobi, Business School.
  • Paul Ouma: Paul is the course director for the Family Business Programme at the Strathmore University, Business School. Family business management is one of his key research and interest areas.

If you are an owner or executive of a family business you should definitely attend. Family members involved in running the business are also advised to show up.
