African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative opportunity

Are you in need of a solid resolution for 2019? Why not spend the year picking business and management skills thanks to the African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative.

African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative (AWEC) is an initiative to build and empower a community of women entrepreneurs. It is under the banner of The Center for Global Enterprise, a non-profit research institute.

African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative is running a 12-month learning program, at no cost to you. Only thing you will need to give is your commitment. The program will be fast-paced and you’ll be required to complete an activity every week.

The activities will, primarily, happen online and will require 4 to 6 hours of your time every week for a year. The components of this business and management program include live learning sessions. There will also be individual assignments, team projects, mentorship and peer assessment.

Eligibility
  • AWEC is open to both established and aspiring women entrepreneurs with clear business concept
  • It is open to women born in and do business in Africa, in any industry (diaspora women are invited if their business has impact in Africa)
  • Proficiency in English is required, as it’s the language of the AWEC program
  • Applicant should be demonstrate passion, resilience, leadership, collaboration and empathy

There will be a number of benefits for taking part in this program. You will be able to acquire strategy and soft skills, like collaboration, to grow your business. You will also be part of a support group formed by this particular African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative cohort.
