USAID WomenConnect Challenge 2018

Apply for the USAID WomenConnect Challenge 2018

USAID WomenConnect Challenge 2018 is a call for solutions to improve girls’ and women’s access to and use of technology.

USAID WomenConnect Challenge 2018 will identify and support solutions that empower women, with this context in mind. You have to drive positive outcomes, for women, in at least one of health, education and livelihood.

A grant of sh.100 million ($1 million) will be shared among 10 successful applicants in this phase of the program.

This initiative is a move to involve local solutions in addressing the digital gender divide that is denying women access to information, services and networking opportunities – as technology grows in importance for everyday living.

Organizations basing their work on a collaborative model or market-based solution are encouraged to apply. Proposals that promote utility of existing infrastructure to solve the digital gender gap will be advantaged over those that necessitate new digital infrastructure.
