GrowthAfrica’s 2016 Accelerator Programme for Kenya and Uganda are still open till the 17th of January.
They are looking for motivated entrepreneurs in a variety of sectors, but of particular interest is: products and services addressing environmental sustainability, energy, IT, mobile and financial technologies, agribusiness, products and services relating to the construction sector, and essential services (health, education, water & sanitation).
What are the benefits?
- Clarity and articulation of your business model and core strategies driving success
- One-on-one mentorship and networking through a diverse ensemble of thought leaders, experienced business
- executives, successful entrepreneurs, and investors
- Intensive series of workshops providing tools and insights, improving your entrepreneurial abilities and leadership skills
- Access to seed funding
What will it cost?
The total value of these copious resources is in excess of USD 50,000 per startup – but they naturally do not expect you to pay this upfront. GrowthAfrica think it is fair that the success they inevitably will co-create with your business is shared – so they ask all startups to pay subsequently by sharing:
- 1% of your revenue +
- 2% of your equity +
- 3% of investments raised
They only expect this from you if they help you:
- Double your revenue or
- Triple your profit or
- Help you raise at least USD 250,000
Great deal, huh?
Applications are due by January 17, 2016 and the programme starts on March 9 for Nairobi and March 16 for Kampala. Get the programme details and the application here
