Scale Kenya Forum is inviting Kenyan entrepreneurs with business ideas solving problems in their respective communities to attend its pitch event this February.
Successful applicants of the Scale Kenya Forum 2018 will get to share their ideas with investors, advisers, media, Government, civil society and capacity building organizations.
In return, entrepreneurs will gain from pre and post-event coaching. The best ideas will receive mentorship, workspace and incubation support from Scale Kenya partners – iHub, Intellecap, TBN and Ongoza.
Eligibility
- Team should be primarily Kenyan, with skills and drive to succeed
- Business idea should be in startup face, yet still with some traction (less than sh.10 million in revenue and funding)
- Business can come from any sector, but must be focused on social and economic development in Kenya or East Africa
- Business can be for-profit or non-profit, and have measurable positive impact on industry, community or environment
Applicants are required to have a pitch deck (presentation) as they will have to pitch for 5 minutes. Another 5 minutes of Q&A from judges will follow this.
The pitch deck should contain; problem, solution, market size, traction, revenue streams, customer acquisition channels, competition, team and impact.
Scale Kenya Forum 2018 will be hosted by CSI (East Africa Civil Society Initiative) at the iHub on the 22nd of February. Deadline for application is, a few days away, 10th February. Apply Today!
