The Obama Foundation Fellowship program is looking to support individuals who are at the forefront of solving public problems in new ways.
2018 will see the selection of an inaugural class of 20 fellows. These will benefit from a two-year, non-residential, fellowship that will come with hands-on training, resources and leadership development.
Throughout the Obama Foundation Fellowship program, each fellow will pursue a personalized plan to leverage resources that will take their work to the next level. The program will be made up of a diverse set of rising stars, in all fields you can think of, who are altering civic engagement.
The program is looking for individuals who are working to solve important public problems in both traditional and unconventional ways
The program is for individuals working within both formal institutions (such as Government and businesses) and informal institutions
Applicants should demonstrate meaningful impact from their work. They should be on the verge of a breakthrough moment. If you have only begun or have gained global recognition, try one of these instead
Preference is for civic innovators who are not connected to networks/resources needed to advance their work. Articulate how resources by Obama Foundation Fellowship will uniquely impact your work
Demonstrate humility and capacity to work collaboratively with others towards shared goals.
The deadline for application is around the corner. It’s on 6th October, 2017 but successful applicants will be notified in February 2018.
