Apply today to join a network of innovators at 2016’s Changemakers Emerging Innovators Bootcamps that will run in 5 different locations across the globe; including Nairobi, Kenya.
You can book one of 100 spots for this year’s Emerging Innovators Bootcamps by Ashoka Changemakers. They will take place in 5 locations across the World, in September and October, including Nairobi. The other locations will be New York, Dakar, Mexico City and Toronto.
The bootcamp will be fully funded. Changemakers will cover your cost of meals, lodging, activities involved plus a partial travel award if you live outside Nairobi.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years of age with most recent entrepreneurial project having launched within the last 5 years
- Applications to the 2016 Emerging Innovators Bootcamp are open to all individuals in East Africa (Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia and Tanzania)
- Entries must be written in English, French or Spanish
- The top 20 applicants (for each region) will receive an invitation to the Emerging Innovators Bootcamp
You should show the following characteristics in your application:
- Innovation– applicants should describe how their solutions are driven by original, ground-breaking ideas
- Social impact– initiative should have launched within the past 5 years and should speak to initial impact results using qualitative and quantitative data
- Sustainability– applicant should have a clear and feasible plan for reaching long-term goals. Describe how you currently fund your work
- Leadership– demonstrate courage, ethical fiber, resiliency and empathy towards others
At Changemakers Emerging Innovators Bootcamp, you will receive industry insights, personalized feedback, and connections to sector leaders. Plus ongoing support from a network of peers.
