GlobalGiving Accelerator program 2018 (funding)

Applications are now welcomed for the GlobalGiving Accelerator program 2018. This is an opportunity to take your fundraising to the next level.

GlobalGiving is a global crowdfunding community. It has connected projects and donors in 170 countries, with sh.33.4 billion ($334 million) raised. It’s initiative, GlobalGiving Accelerator program is giving changemakers opportunity to share in this crowdfunding success.

The GlobalGiving Accelerator program involves building skill, access to tools and growing crowdfunding base. Successful applicants will take part in an optional 1-week virtual training curriculum. This will cover:

• Crowdfunding 101
• Mapping your potential donor network
• Storytelling and email appeals
• Creating SMART goals

The training will be followed by an accelerator campaign to raise sh.500,000 ($5000) from a minimum of 40 donors. Those who meet this cut-off will secure a permanent funding spot on the GlobalGiving​ platform. This will increase their access to funding and promotion opportunities.

GlobalGiving Accelerator program will be giving more than sh.2 million ($20,000) to match the initial fundraising. Bonus prizes and rewards for projects that raise the most money will also be available.

This program is open to registered non-profit organizations. Deadline for application is 15th October, 2018.
