HerBusiness 5 time management tips for entrepreneurs

Poor time management is a malady that affects almost all of Kenya. This vice also affects entrepreneurs. Managing your time well is easily achieved and improves productivity, thus chance of success, a great deal. HerBusiness shares 5 tips to achieve this.

1.Making Lists

Making a list of things to do is one of the nerdiest things out there but it’s totally worth it. For one, as an entrepreneur you are usually bubbling with ideas; this is a way to keep track and rediscover “the ones that got away.” To-do lists also earn you that wonderful feel of ticking off a task after you’ve accomplished it. As you’ve figured out, a list keeps you on that #goals path that optimizes the 24 hours you have in a day.

2.Working smart

You’ve heard this so many times that you no longer know what it means. It’s pretty simple. Don’t turn into a try-hard to fit into held up stereotypes of entrepreneurs. You don’t have to be overly busy. Just be efficient and effective in whatever you do. Simplify your tasks to avoid overburdening yourself and wasting resources. You will soon ascend into the coveted goal-achieving form. The result is that you’ll be an entrepreneur who sleeps well and enjoys her weekends.

3.Prioritize tasks

You want to commit to the tips I have given you but you simply have so many things to do. This is probably from your, previously, poor time management lifestyle 😉 No worries just prioritize your tasks. Do the most crucial things first and if something takes 3 minutes or less, don’t postpone it.

4.Delegate tasks

Another way to deal with lots of tasks, as an entrepreneur, to realize proper time management is delegation. Delegating duties is more than that; it is a sign of good leadership skills. Overburdening yourself with lots of work will cost you a lot of time. Let your employees depute as your business gradually grows as a means of establishing business systems.

5.Avoid distractions

Thank you for reading this far. Focus is actually a dying art. People only used to occasionally forget why they entered a room; now it’s just, sigh! Show that you are an entrepreneur that values her time. You will also begin to value other people’s time. Learn to say “no” and develop a culture of being concise.
