Make-IT accelerator program has been provided by German International Cooperation (GIZ) and is about supporting digital startups achieve b2b cooperation and investment-readiness.
This is a free 9-month accelerator program that will achieve the two goals through access to knowledge, mentorship, partnerships and opportunities for successful business growth.
It is tiered in 3 phases:
- Jan – Mar 2018 will be about training and capacity development for growth
- Apr – Jun 2018 will be about b2b (business to business) cooperation through matchmaking events with international businesses
- Jun – Aug 2018 startups will realize investment-readiness thanks to support from finance and investment experts
Eligibility
- For profit, registered business with a team of at least two people
- In operation for at least a full year
- Have digital product/service on the market with revenue realized
- Demonstrate potential to scale
- Based in (or able to work from) either Nairobi or Lagos
- Business model with social impact (solution to social problem)
