Nairobi Garage, Africa’s largest co-working space, held an opening party to celebrate its second branch: Nairobi Garage // Westlands, at the ultramodern Mirage on Waiyaki Way.
Since opening its doors in December 2015, Nairobi Garage // Westlands is already the proud host of teams such as Uber, Branch, Umati Capital, mi-Fone, Refunite, and GeoPoll among other outstanding companies and individuals.
Chief among the guests were Ben Roberts of Liquid Telcom. Hai, Liquid Telcom’s residential and SME offering, are Nairobi Garage’s internet sponsor – providing the members with a free, consistent, and high speed internet connection.
Mikul Shah of Eat Out Kenya, Martin Nielsen of Mdundo, and Stephane Eboko of Ma3Route were joined by members and friends of the space to celebrate.
The event was catered for by The Good Food Company, founded by world-famous chef Kiran Jethwa, who was also in attendance, and others. The Good Food Company is joining Nairobi Garage as the in-house cafe.
Nairobi Garage // Westlands has a capacity of 400 desks, as well as team rooms, an event space, 24/7 facilities, and an active, tailor made community of pioneering teams and individuals.
Nairobi Garage was launched in 2014 by the founders of the incubator 88mph, as a response to the need for beautiful, quality and affordable working spaces for innovative companies and individuals based in Nairobi.
It has since then grown into a community of organizations, teams, and individuals working in new economy industries, where collaboration and networking are part of the culture.
