Opportunity for young Kenyans to experience agribusiness

Young Kenyans with an interest in agribusiness have an opportunity to gain experience before venturing out as entrepreneurs. Read on.

You already know that a prudent entrepreneur has to know about the industry before opening a business (read this if you don’t know yet).

An agribusiness enterprise is looking for eight young Kenyans to put in the works. This is a great chance to learn about agribusiness.

Eligibility

  • Will be based in Imenti Central constituency, Meru County. 
  • Should be aged between 22-28 years old.
  • Should be fluent Ameru language speakers
  • Should possess strong communication skills
  • Residents of Meru County are encouraged to apply
  • Should be a holder of a diploma or degree in any agricultural or related course. Applicants with sales skills have an added advantage.
  • Should be computer literate
  • Should possess strong interpersonal skills.

The task are easy. If you want in, you will learn about: Sign up local farmers on the program, Gather data from farmers on crop yields, Supervise the loading of agricultural produce on trucks for distribution, Avail information and farm implements to farmers. All this will be preceded by two days of training.
