The Rotary Club of Nairobi Magharibi and the Surgical Society of Kenya (SSK) have joined forces to deliver critical healthcare services to underserved communities across Kenya. The two organizations have signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to implement a series of free surgical camps nationwide.
This partnership aims to address the pressing need for accessible surgical care in Kenya, where many individuals lack the means to obtain essential medical treatments. By providing free surgeries, the organizations hope to improve the lives of countless Kenyans and strengthen the overall health of the nation.
The camps will offer a range of surgical procedures, including cataract surgeries, hernia repairs, and other vital operations. These services will be delivered by skilled surgeons from the Surgical Society of Kenya, working in collaboration with Rotary Club volunteers.
“This partnership is a testament to our shared commitment to improving the lives of Kenyans,” said Caroline Muthoni Mate, President of the Rotary Club of Nairobi Magharibi. “By providing free surgical care, we are not only addressing immediate health needs but also empowering individuals and their families to thrive.”
Prof. Dr. Paul Odula, President of the Surgical Society of Kenya, added, “Our surgeons are eager to contribute their expertise to this vital cause. These camps represent an opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of countless Kenyans. We are proud to partner with the Rotary Club of Nairobi Magharibi to bring hope and healing to our communities.”
The first camp is scheduled for [Date] at [Location]. Subsequent camps will be held in different regions across Kenya over the next five years.
