RUFORUM young African entrepreneurs competition 2018

RUFORUM is inviting young African entrepreneurs with innovative business enterprises and ideas to apply for support and a cash prize.

RUFORUM stands for The Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture. It is a network of 85 Universities from 35 African countries. It holds a biennial summit. One of the goals of RUFORUM is to promote entrepreneurs.

It has launched its 2018 competition for young African entrepreneurs. Focus area is on agribusiness but other sectors will also be considered. They will get an opportunity to present their concepts and propositions at an international stage with an audience of close to 1200 people. This will be at the RUFORUM Conference 2018 set to be held in Nairobi in late October. All expenses, to be incurred by successful applicants, towards attendance of the conference will be catered for.

The 10 selected African youth will also receive cash prizes, on RUFORUM’s promise to handout seed funding.

To be eligible for this, you must either have an established business enterprise or an innovative concept that can be commercialized. You should also have a defined business model. Only Africans aged between 16 and 34 years old can apply.
