The Swiss sub-Saharan Africa business development program is looking to boost entrepreneurs and graduate students looking to grow. The development will happen by benefiting from know-how and exposure through this program.
The program, in 2018, will gather entrepreneurs and graduate students seeking growth opportunities in two innovation hotspots for a combined 7 day workshop. The hotspots are Nairobi and in Switzerland.
There will be a 3-day workshop in Nairobi from the 10th to 12th of December, 2018. It will involve learning how to deliver unique customer value and define a striking business plan. Another day will be set aside for learning how to shape a winning team and secure funding, for growth. Lastly, participants will discover how to make a convicing pitch. They will also benefit from individual coaching sessions.
After a presentation, a Swiss-African jury will determine the top 8 to head to Switzerland in 2019. Over there, participants will be involved in an “action-packed” business development boot camp.
What’s more? The Swiss sub-Saharan Africa business development program will cater for accommodation expenses of the program in Nairobi, plus fully fund the trip to Switzerland.
Eligibility
- Be a graduate student or entrepreneur from a sub-Saharan African innovation hub
- Have strong link to academia with project or company based on research or technology developed at a local University or research institution
- Product or service should be in the following fields: mobile health, pharmacometrics, innovative financing, digital humanities or knowledge transfer
