Westerwelle Young Founders Programme (fully funded to Germany)

Young entrepreneurs from developing and emerging economies are invited to apply for the Westerwelle Young Founders Programme 2018.

Westerwelle Foundation is a German organization committed to promoting the values of democracy, rule of law and market economy. It organizes an annual conference in Berlin, Germany, as part of the Young Founders mentorship programme.

25 young entrepreneurs from developing and emerging economies, like Kenya, will have the opportunity to take part in the 2018 conference and connect to the German startup scene. The German Mittelstand is a model for SMEs sector all over the World.

Westerwelle Young Founders programme will cater for all travel and accommodation expenses for the duration of the program. Successful applicants must still possess valid travel documents and travel medical insurance to enter Germany.

The selected entrepreneurs will benefit from connecting with each other, as part of an alumni network, and from monthly mentorship by experienced entrepreneurs and a group of Westerwelle Young Founders.

Eligibility
  • Should be aged between 20 and 35 years
  • Must have been running a for-profit business for at least 5 years, with a scalable model
  • Must be based in a developing or emerging economy, like Kenya
  • Have good knowledge of English
